2nd Christmas Multilingual Festival

Queridas familias:

Estamos preparando el festival de navidad y una vez más, vuestros hijos/as son los protagonistas. En este caso, nos referimos a la presentación bilingüe del mismo.

Hemos contado con 10 voluntarios para hacerlo, y como todos es imposible que lo presenten, hemos decidido grabar y hacer 4 videos en los que todos participan.

We are preparing the Christmas festival and you have to remember that your children are the stars.

Here you can check the bilingual introduction to the festival.

Ten students from Grade 5 decided to do the introduction. However, there is no place for all of them. 

In these 4 videos, you can check their work.

Only one group will perform the introduction for you at the festival.

The Smartboard

Los tiempos cambian y cada vez son más los colegios que incorporan la PDI (pizarra digital interactiva) en las aulas, facilitando así la preparación de los alumnos a la era digital.

En la asignatura de Inglés (al igual que en Matemáticas, Ciencias o Música) le damos mucho uso. En la mayoría de las sesiones, los estudiantes realizan actividades y juegos para repasar los conocimientos recién aprendidos.

Puede que a los niños les guste tanto esta herramienta ya que en su tiempo libre usan mucho los ordenadores, tablets y telefonos móviles. Es tarea de padres y profesores enseñarles a utilizar los equipos informáticos para realizar tareas escolares ya que en el futuro, puede que las necesiten en su puesto de trabajo.

Time changes so quickly... 10 years ago, traditional boards were the trend on Spanish schools. Nowadays, there's a digital revolution, and most schools have replaced their boards and have installed the interactive ones to prepare the children to the new era.

English language, Maths, Science or even Music are some of the subjects where the Smartboard is often used. In English language subject, for example, we play games in order to learn new vocabulary and grammar.

Students feel more comfortable with this tool because they are normally using tablets, computers and mobile phones in their free time. Teachers and parents need to teach children to use computers for homework tasks because in the future they might need them at work.
